NEWS FROM THE COMMISSION FOR CASE MANAGER CERTIFICATION

The Commision for Case Manaer Certificaiton has changed the type of credits certified professionals must have when they renew their certification. Beginning in 2016, those renewing will need to have 2 of the 80 contact hours in ethics.

In 2017 those renewing will need 4 of the 80 contact hours in Ethics. In 2018 and going forward, all renewing their certification will need to have 8 of the 80 contact hours in ethics.  a

Per the Commission, the additional requirement does not increase the total number of continuing education credits you need to have, but the required ethics credits will be part of the 80 contact hours.

The Board of Directors of the South Florida Case Management Network has committed to adding ethics training as part of our efforts to provide continuing education credits for all certified case management members so they can meet the requirements set out by the Commission for Case Manager Certification as well as other Certifying Bodies.
