Overview: The CDC is actively working to learn more about the whole range of short- and long-term health effects associated with COVID-19. As the pandemic unfolds, we are learning that many organs are affected by COVID-19 and there are many ways the infection can effect someone’s health.

While most persons with COVID-19 recover and return to normal health, some have symptoms that can last for weeks or even months after recovery from the acute illness. Even people who are not hospitalized and who have mild illness are experiencing persistent or late symptoms.

With a new set of patients with Long COVID Symptoms, case managers are going to have to get up to speed quickly. This webinar will be the start of the journey as research continues to uncover causes and treatment options for Long COVID patients

Session Objectives:

  • Define Long COVID?
  • Discuss who is at risk for Long COVID
  • Explain the role of the Case Managers role in managing patients with Long COVID?
